This might sound odd – but it is all part of a kind of eccentric aesthetic I am aiming to achieve. For the past 20 years I have been performing as the drum & bass artist known as Colon.

As a DJ I have supported many of the biggest names on the scene, including Andy C, Pendulum, Break, AMC, Serum, Voltage, Bladerunner, Benny Page, to name but a few.

While I specialize in drum & bass, I am also a multi-genre performer, holding a Saturday night residency for the past 7 years at Albert’s Shed here in Shrewsbury. My club sets are highly musically diverse, jumping from genre to genre. I am an expert at reading the room and playing for whatever demographic that might appear before me.

My releases so far consist of very niche material which involves drum & bass covers of classic retro video game themes. While I initially thought this would not gain any traction, it as brought me tens of thousands of views on youtube, as well as a dedicated fanbase across the world.

My intention for 2025 it to finally release some original music. It has never been my intent for this to be a commercial project in any way – I dj for the love of it more than anything, and I actively want to remain an underground act. It’s also worth noting that I still actively collect and perform with vinyl.
